Let’s reshape energy consumption in our digital age

Max Ekengren, CFO of T.Loop, will be presenting at the Sweden Sustaintech Venture Day on October 9-10. Ahead of the event, we will have the opportunity to meet Max at T.Loop’s Data Energy Center in Häggvik, Stockholm—part of the Stockholm Cleantech Tour on October 9th—where visitors can see firsthand how T.Loop uses excess heat from data centers to heat buildings and support the power grid with spare battery capacity.

Max will share how T.Loop is addressing the growing energy crisis fueled by the rise of AI and the digital world. Data centers currently account for 2% of global electricity usage, but with the rapid growth of AI, this is expected to surge to 20-30% in the near future. T.Loop’s innovative Data Energy Centers® offer a circular solution by capturing and repurposing excess heat and energy, helping to mitigate this rising demand.

In general people do not reflect enough over how much energy our digital world is consuming; this is a big threat to the climate.

Max’s enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and sustainability is clear. His vision is to leave the world better behind, and T.Loop’s approach is a reflection of that, integrating sustainability into every aspect of their operations. It’s a future-focused strategy that could reshape how we think about energy consumption in our digital age.

Ahead of Sweden Sustaintech Venture Day, Max had the opportunity to share his thoughts on his role, T.Loop’s future, and what motivates him to work so intensively on getting T.Loop’s Data Energy Center up and running. Read the full interview here.
