Last night, T.Loop proudly received the Energy Impact Award at the DCD Awards in London. This recognition celebrates our innovative Data Energy Center®, a concept that transforms underutilized urban spaces into sustainable data hubs. By leveraging existing infrastructure and cutting-edge immersion cooling, our facility achieves a record-low PUE of 1.03 and a negative carbon footprint of -8 tons CO2eq annually per 10 MW IT load. This project is more than a technical success; it’s a blueprint for a circular economy in action.

T.Loop recently participated in Sweden Sustaintech Venture Day 2024, a major event that brought together visionary founders, investors, and innovators focused on creating a more sustainable future. Held on the 9th-10th of October, the event, organized by Cleantech Scandinavia and the Swedish Energy Agency, featured the theme Scaling Sustaintech for Global Impact.

As part of Atrium Ljungberg's initiatives in the area, T.Loop has been entrusted as a partner to handle the operation management and development of the data center at Palmfelt Center. The agreement was signed on August 25th, and the transition process has commenced. T.Loop's objective is to provide the best customer service through its control of the data center. The initial feedback from customers has been very positive.

The rise of distributed data centers is reshaping our digital infrastructure, hinting at a profound transformation of how we think about data storage, access, and control. As Oracle and Blackstone make significant investments in large-scale data centers around the world, it's a good time to reflect on what the growth of distributed, Edge-based data centers might mean for the future of a decentralized and more democratic internet.

Max Ekengren, CFO of T.Loop, will be speaking at Sweden Sustaintech Venture Day on October 9-10. Max will address the pressing energy crisis driven by the rapid growth of AI. With CO2 emissions as low as 45 g/kWh, Stockholm is highlighted in Knight Frank's latest report as a prime location for sustainable data center operations. Recognizing this potential, T.Loop is advancing the region's infrastructure with a new 3MW facility, designed to combine efficiency with a circular energy system through innovative waste heat reuse.

Earlier this summer, T.Loop's Chief Sustainability and Marketing Officer, Cecilia Hjertzell, joined the Data Center Sales & Marketing Institute (DCSMI) podcast, where she discussed key challenges and strategies in the global data center industry. With its rapid expansion, this sector faces increasing pressure to balance growth with sustainability—something T.Loop is determined to address head-on.

Ture "Duke" Aschan joins T.Loop as Senior Sales Executive during a pivotal time in the company’s expansion. His extensive background in the colocation industry, including roles at Interxion and atNorth, brings valuable expertise in strategic growth and high-level negotiations. Reflecting on his new role at T.Loop, he shares: “I’m excited to leverage my experience across industries to drive market growth and contribute to this dynamic phase of T.Loop’s journey.”

T.Loop is growing, and we are delighted to welcome Heller Ibarra to our team as a Data Energy Center® Engineer. Heller brings extensive experience from various technical engineering roles and most recently served on the Equinix Data Center Operations team. At T.Loop, Heller will be responsible for implementing T.Loop’s Data Energy Center® Operations model.

T.Loop has formed a Sustainability Advisory Board comprised of four prominent business leaders: Pernilla Ramslöv, Jonas Roupé, Hanna Setterberg, and Christina Carlmark. All four members bring deep expertise in sustainable business practices to support the company in navigating these challenges. Key issues to be addressed include ensuring that T.Loop is making the right impact, strengthening planetary boundaries, and protecting a climate-stressed world.
