T.Loop Targets Four Prizes at International DCS Awards 2025 for Groundbreaking Datacenter Innovation
Datacenters can contribute to a sustainable energy system, instead of being a burden to it. By recovering waste heat and providing grid balancing services, we can create 50-100 billion Euros in annual revenues and the equivalent capacity of 17 nuclear reactors. – Helena Fagraeus Lundström, CEO of T.Loop
T.Loop has rapidly established itself in the datacenter industry with its innovative Data Energy Center® concept and is now nominated in four key categories at the prestigious DCS Awards 2025. The international awards ceremony, which annually celebrates the top innovators in the datacenter ecosystem, will take place in London on May 23rd.
Award Nominations
The company is nominated in the following critical categories:
Best Colocation Provider Sustainability Innovation of the Year
Data Centre Sustainability Innovation of the Year
Data Centre Power Innovation of the Year
Outstanding Contribution to Sustainability and Efficiency Award
These nominations confirm T.Loop's strategic position as a leading innovator in sustainable datacenter solutions.
Transforming the Datacenter Paradigm
T.Loop's unique Data Energy Center® concept represents a radical redefinition of the datacenter industry. Rather than viewing datacenters as mere energy consumers, the company transforms them into active energy resources that can:
Produce heat
Balance power grids
Support peak consumption periods
Contribute to the green energy transition
For the industry, this approach creates new revenue streams and improves overall profitability.
Addressing Global Energy Challenges
With the explosive growth of AI and digital infrastructure, datacenters face enormous energy challenges. A striking example is Ireland, Europe's most mature datacenter market, which has reached a point where datacenters make up 20% of the country’s total electricity usage.
With the growth pace of compute power, we cannot continue building datacenters in the traditional way – it will be impossible for our electricity system to sustain, says Helena Fagraeus Lundström. Our solution is to integrate datacenters as an active part of the energy ecosystem.
Current Operations and Future Vision
T.Loop already has two Data Energy Center® facilities operational in Stockholm and has launched innovative solutions like TSO Link, enabling datacenters to make their reserve capacity available for grid balancing. The company's vision extends beyond current nominations – they aim to reshape the entire datacenter industry's energy paradigm.
Award Ceremony Outlook
At the DCS Awards on May 23rd in London, T.Loop has the chance to win all four nominations and further solidify the Sweden's position as a leader in sustainable technology innovation.
Vote for us!
The jury has done the heavy lifting among over 400 entries, so T.Loop has been nominated in as many as four categories. But now it's the industry's turn to have its say. Do you want to see T.Loop take home the trophy in June – vote for us. It would mean incredibly much for us and for our continued work to make data centers a part of the green energy transition.
