T.Loop Welcomes Data Center Expert Heller Ibarra to the Team

T.Loop is growing, and we are delighted to welcome Heller Ibarra to our team as a Data Energy Center® Engineer. Heller brings extensive experience from various technical engineering roles and most recently served on the Equinix Data Center Operations team. At T.Loop, Heller will be responsible for implementing T.Loop’s Data Energy Center® Operations model.

"I'm thrilled to have Heller on our team as we navigate these exciting and challenging times. He brings extensive knowledge of day-to-day data center operations and valuable experience from working with one of the largest colocation providers," says Johan Hedman, Head of Operations at T.Loop. "With his expertise, T.Loop is well-positioned to establish our operations team based on best practices and make swift progress on our current projects.”

Originally from Mexico, Heller also worked in Southern California for Citrix Online. When he decided to explore Europe, he chose Sweden—primarily because Stockholm is considered Europe’s Silicon Valley, but also for Sweden’s cool climate, labor efficiency, quietness, English proficiency, and greenery. Together with his Swedish partner, Heller has explored Sweden, and his favorite places so far are the Ängelsberg area, where he spends most summers with family, and Apladalen in Värnamo, which he describes as something out of a storybook. Storybooks are indeed a part of Heller’s life right now, with two small children aged 2 and nearly 1 year.

“I see a great opportunity to contribute to building energy-efficient data centers and reducing emissions footprints. My enthusiasm for building things from 0 to 100% is sky-high,” says Heller.

Heller also hopes to contribute his technical experience in repurposing. "I love repurposing things!" At his previous workplaces, he led projects to extend the lifespan of technical hardware and create the right conditions for reuse—something that T.Loop strives for in its Data Energy Centers®.

T.Loop launched its first Data Energy Center® in December last year. At the turn of the year, an existing data center in central Stockholm was acquired, which is now undergoing transformation in line with T.Loop’s concept for sustainable data centers. The company is in an expansive phase and plans to establish several data centers in the coming years.

"T.Loop is in a very exciting developmental stage, and I am thrilled that we have managed to attract several prominent industry profiles to T.Loop in a short period," says Staffan Stymne, CEO and co-founder of T.Loop.

Heller holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems and Electronic Engineering from Universidad del Valle de México.
He began his position on August 1st.
